Bale Boroon

There is a tradition and ritual in the cities of Kurdistan and its surroundings. After the marriage proposal, the young members of the groom’s family send gift packages on round trays placed on their heads towards the bride’s house. Sometimes, the groom’s family sends domestic animals as gifts to the bride’s house. In this painting, I did my best to picture all stages of the marriage proposal and Bale Boroon.
