The works and lives of Iranian calligraphers are collected in this book by Azizollah Golkarzadeh. The introduction has been written in calligraphy by Abbas Akhavein and the text on the book cover is written by Mohammad Ehsai. The graphic designer is Tohid Golkarzadeh and managed by Pouran Maleki.
The book is divided into four sections:
- An overview of origin of scripts
- Biographies of early calligraphers
- Biographies of late calligraphers
- Biographies of contemporary calligraphers.
It must be noted that the names of all Iranian calligraphers are not presented in this work, however, some calligraphers are listed in this book.

This book was published in 2006 and 3000 volumes of this book have been annually reprinted for 10 years. The book cover was designed by Tohid Golkarzadeh and the page layout was done by Taha Golkarzadeh. This book is taught in the University of Applied Sciences and the students had to take two courses of the workshop design using the instructions of this book. This book grabbed the attention of the Professor of Physiology at American College of Acupuncture, California, and won the special award for the best book on Anatomy of Design from the Conference of Physiology in 2015.

It was published in 2007 and attracted the attention of Art Department of the University of Applied Science and Technology, Iran. This book is mostly about the principles of visual arts. The basics of arts such as music, cinema, etc. are briefly explained. It must be noted that dancing is not currently considered an art in Iran, due to strict regulations. The sixth edition of this book is already printed.
