Ruhollah Khaleqi

Ruhollah Khaleqi is the composer of the former national anthem of Iran. He was an incredibly talented musician. In this work, green paints are applied with a palette knife and layered paints are used to reveal a portrait of Ruhollah Khaleqi. His tie is painted red to represent the heat and beauty of the Iranian national anthem “Ey Iran”.
